Thurs: How to handle constraints: Hamilton’s principle, Lagrange multipliers
Fri: How to simplify a problem: Approximations (binomial approx, recall Taylor Series), small Oscillations
Week 2 - August 16 - 20
Quantum Mechanics
Monday: States/observables/operators, linear algebra, setting up the framework
Tuesday: Time-dependent quantum mechanics
Wed: Graduate Student Panel Q&A
Thursday: Quantum mechanics in an infinite hilbert space (square well, QHO)
Friday: Multi-particle systems, tensor products, and entanglement
