Unitarity bounds on cusps
I will discuss various properties of the cusp anomalous dimension of conformal line defects that follow from cutting and gluing consistency of various defect geometries. Some key results I will present are an optimal universal bound on the cusp anomalous dimension of a right angle cusp and a derivation of a new property of the cusp anomalous dimension that we refer to as “conformal concavity.” I will discuss som implications of these bounds for the physics of line defects, particularly in the context of defect fusion.
