‘You will serve our nation well’: Yale recognizes ROTC graduates

Yale this week recognized Air Force, Naval, and Army ROTC graduates who are now among the nation’s newest military officers, during the university’s annual commissioning ceremony.

The Yale Physics Department congratulates the following students who were part of the Yale ROTC program and will be joining the U.S. armed services.

Navy

  • Alexander Adams, Physics and History double major and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics and Astronomy Honor society.
  • Aidan Pulmano, Chemical Engineering and Physics (with distinction in the major) double major  and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics and Astronomy Honor society
  • Cleber Redondo, Physics (with distinction in the major) and Economics double major, a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics and Astronomy Honor society, and a member of Wright Lab.

USAF

  • Tanish Chettiar, Physics (Intensive) major and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics and Astronomy Honor society
  • Kylyn Smith, Physics (with distinction in the major) and Economics double major with a Certificate in Data Science. She will be attending MIT for an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics and will be joining the U.S. Space Force as a second lieutenant.
