The physics department has two independent research courses, PHYS 2710/2720 for first year and sophomore students, and PHYS 4710/4720 for junior and senior students.
In order to help students find research opportunities the department started the Undergraduate Research Fair in 2013 as a way to have undergraduate students meet with faculty regarding research opportunities.
The 2025 Undergraduate Research Fair was held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm in SPL 3rdFloor Lounge.
It was hosted by the Department of Physics, the Yale Society of Physics Students, and Women in Physics.
