The Department of Physics at Yale University invites applications for a faculty appointment in the area of experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics, broadly defined. Applications will be considered at the tenured Associate Professor and Full Professor levels. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.
The newly appointed faculty member will join a dynamic group of experimentalists in AMO, quantum information, and other closely allied areas, and will also benefit from interactions with Yale’s world-class group of theorists in quantum many-body physics.
The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute broadly to the activities of the Physics Department. To promote diversity, the Department especially welcomes applications from women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities.
Ph.D. in Physics, or an equivalent degree, at the time of the hire.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, teaching statement, and a research statement. The latter should include a description of the proposed research program and the anticipated required resources. Any questions should be sent to Prof. Keith Baker (firstname.lastname@example.org), chair of the search committee. Review of applications will begin November 21, 2021.
