Event description:

In this talk, I will discuss the ongoing effort to understand universal dynamical signatures in different pump and probe set-ups. The set-ups that I will be discussing fall in two categories: 1) The pump can be considered as a quench inside a material; in this case I will discuss the case of quenching a broken symmetry phase and demonstrate how goldstone modes are responsible for self-similar late time dynamics, 2) Strong pumping resonant to internal coherent modes can lead to a long lived Floquet Material, a material in the presence of an oscillating drive; in this case I will discuss universal features of reflectivity that can be found in such systems.
