Words truly cannot capture all the love and support shared by 150 first-gen alumni from ’56 -’22 classes and all Yale schools at the recent 1stGenYale alumni conference, Being the First, But Not the Last, held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Yale School of Management’s Edward P. Evans Hall.
Cory Combs ‘14 Physics & Philosophy BA was one of the panelists at the conference. From the conference website, “Cory studied astrophysics and philosophy of science at Yale, which after a winding path led him — where else? — to a career in energy technology and climate policy. Along the way, he has had the good fortune to work with the Yale-China Association, obtain an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and work on energy tech commercialization at the US Department of Energy. He now leads climate and industry analysis at a China-focused research firm, advising a range of government and multinational clients. Growing up, he had no idea such opportunities existed; today, he hopes to support others building their own paths.”
