Emma Ideal (Graduate Student) has received the 2012 Kirsten R. Lorentzen Award from the Association for Women in Science Educational Foundation. It is an award in remembrance of Kirsten Lorentzen and is designed to assist early-career women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and was recently revised to focus on funding travel related to professional development.
