Dr. Isabella Graf, Yale Postdoctoral Associate with Ben Machta, received the “Theodor-Hänsch-Promotionspreis” 2020 from the Faculty of Physics of Ludwig-Maxmilians-Universität München for her outstanding dissertation entitled “Principles of self-organization and self-assembly in biologically inspired non-equilibrium systems - a conceptual approach”.
The Theodor-Hänsch-Promotionspreis honors particularly outstanding dissertations in the field of physics. The prize is named after Professor Dr. Theodor W. Hänsch (Nobel Prize winner 2005) and is endowed by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation for the Faculty of Physics of Ludwig-Maxmilians-Universität München.
