Professors Steven Girvin and Robert Schoelkopf elected Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

Steven M. Girvin (Eugene Higgins Professor of Physics & Applied Physics) has been elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in Engineering, for “fundamental experimental and theoretical research on correlated many-electron states in low dimensional systems.”

Robert Schoelkopf (Professor of Applied Physics & Physics) has been elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in Engineering, for “outstanding work toward the practical realization of quantum computation”.
