Dr. Murat Kologlu will be joining the department in the fall as the 2022 Mossman Postdoctoral Fellow.
Murat obtained his PhD at Caltech in 2019 under the guidance of David Simmons-Duffin. Since graduating from Caltech he has been a postdoctoral associate at the University of Oxford. Murat specializes in theoretical high-energy physics and string theory. His main interest is in conformal field theories and their applications to various systems spanning quantum gravity, high-energy physics, and condensed matter. Recently, Murat has been working on understanding behavior of conformal theories at finite temperature and applications of light-ray operators to collider physics. He will be working with Prof. Ian Moult and Prof. David Poland.
