The EHS shop orientation is offered each semester and is required to be taken once by anyone who would like to gain access and make use of the research and teaching shops at Wright Lab.

Join us for an unforgettable experience as we delve into the captivating world of Artist Serena Scapagnini, fascinated by the processes underlying memory. The event will commence with the U.S. Premiere of the documentary “Serena Scapagnini – The Space Beyond” (Lo Spazio Oltre), featuring an extended version that showcases her recent artistic residency at the Yale Quantum Institute. Following this screening, immerse yourself in an engaging discussion about art, memory, and quantum technology with Serena and her collaborators.
Students in the Summer Student Research Program at Wright Lab are invited to join a guided walking tour of Yale University.
The tour will leave from the Yale Visitor Center at 149 Elm Street, New Haven, CT 06511 at 3:00 p.m. Please plan to come a few minutes early so the group does not leave without you.
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, and will end in the Broadway District near the Yale Bookstore at 77 Broadway.
This session will provide an opportunity for students in the Summer Student Research Program at Wright Lab to get assistance from the YCRC Research Support team with programming and HPC related questions specific to their research projects.

A brief orientation for program participants will follow.

We’ll look at several faculty CVs, commonly-used professional profile websites, and library databases that can help you find information on departments, industries, companies, and more — whether you plan to go into academia, corporate, or nonprofit work.
This tour is open to students in the Summer Student Research Program at Wright Lab and new members of the Wright Lab and Yale Physics communities. Meet at the front entrance for a ~1 hour overview tour of the lab facilities and research program.

Split between the Beinecke and Medical Historical Library, Yale has access to early editions of many milestones of achievement in physics. In this enrichment session, you will have the opportunity to see works with topics ranging from early materials science, astronomy and cosmology, physics, and mathematics, a total of 15 items.
