Prakhar Garg, research scientist and a member of Wright Lab, has been elected as a member of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) Users’ Executive Committee.
At its core, the committee advocates for the research community, surfacing what active users need and keeping them informed on where the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is headed. It’s open to researchers across the RHIC/AGS complex, the Accelerator Test Facility, and the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory, with a rotating group of elected and appointed members, including student and postdoc representatives, who carry that dialogue forward. Garg said, “Serving on the RHIC/AGS Users’ Executive Committee is a great opportunity to help represent the needs of the user community and strengthen the connection between researchers and the Laboratory. I’m looking forward to contributing to that dialogue and supporting the broader RHIC and Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) user community.”
