Welcome Elise Le Boulicaut Ennis, Postdoctoral Associate

May 30, 2024

Yale Physics welcomes Elise Le Boulicaut Ennis, postdoctoral associate in the field of experimental particle physics, and a member of Yale’s Wright Lab. Le Boulicaut Ennis will collaborate on the ATLAS experiment, working with the groups of professor Sarah Demers and Eugene Higgins Professor of Physics Paul Tipton.

Le Boulicaut Ennis said, “My research focuses on testing the Standard Model of particle physics, particularly the Higgs boson and how it interacts with tau leptons. I am also involved in the next upgrade of the ATLAS detector for the High-Luminosity LHC phase.”

Le Boulicaut Ennis obtained a Ph.D. from Duke University in 2024, working with Mark Kruse focusing on searches for new physics involving top-quarks with ATLAS.  She received a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2018. She has been interested in particle physics since 2017, when she participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program through Duke University, spending part of the summer at CERN.  Her growing passion for particle physics has led her to Yale, where she hopes to continue learning and having fun in the process.
