Welcome to Sabrina Zacarias who comes to us from Technische Universitat Darmstadt as a postdoctoral associate working with Reina Maruyama.
Zacarias’ research is working on the design and commissioning of the detection setup in the RAY experiment, which aims at detecting dark matter particles (axions) by using single-photon detection with Rydberg atoms. She is working in Dark matter detection with Rydberg atoms research with Reina Maruyama.
She received her PhD in experimental nuclear physics from the Technische Universitat Darmstadt (Germany) in 2022, where she worked on the development of the detection system of the PUMA experiment, to be run at CERN.
