Rohan Wassink, YC’2026 Physics (Intensive) major, was one of ten Yale College students awarded the university’s annual Y-Work Awards for their commitment to on-campus jobs.
Wassink was a Head of College Office Aide at Ezra Stiles College, supervised by Kathryn Dunn, senior administrative assistant in the College’s head office.
His citation reads:
“Rohan has distinguished himself as one of the most dependable and dedicated office aides in over a decade. From organizing College Teas and managing logistics for high-profile guests to leading an eight-person photography team, he has consistently gone above and beyond. His musical contributions, event leadership, and behind-the-scenes support reflect a rare blend of talent, humility, and initiative. As Kathryn Dunn, his supervisor, notes: ‘Rohan didn’t just get things done — he did so with care, thoughtfulness, and a sense of pride in his work that left a lasting impression.’ He embodies the spirit of excellence and community service.”
Rohan commented about winning the award, “I am extremely honored to be recognized with the Y-Work Award, and I am so grateful to Head Camacho, Kathryn Dunn, and Marc Levenson of Ezra Stiles for their support in this and throughout my time at Yale. It is truly a privilege to participate in such life giving work, and through the event planning, logistics, photography team organization, and equipment setup in my time as Stiles Office Aide, I have learned so many valuable skills with such rewarding outcomes. I am excited to continue being a part of the amazing aide team in Stiles, and I hope to contribute in new ways this upcoming year!”
