2020 Yale Mossman Postdoctoral Fellowship
in elementary particle theory
The Yale Physics Department invites applications for the Yale Mossman Postdoctoral Fellowship. This fellowship is intended to support promising physicists in the early stages of their careers.
This year’s fellowship will be in elementary particle theory, broadly defined. The fellowship provides a three-year appointment with a competitive stipend, discretionary annual research fund, and comprehensive health insurance.
Yale has an active and engaged community in the field of elementary particles. The Yale theory group is interested in a range of topics including physics beyond the Standard Model, quantum field theory, cosmology, and gravitation; and enjoys frequent discussions with colleagues in condensed matter theory and related fields. On the experimental side, Yale has a strong involvement in ATLAS and in experiments at the intensity and cosmic frontier.
Interested candidates should submit their application online. Application materials include a CV, a publication list, a minimum of three letters of recommendation, and a statement of research interest. Review of applications will begin immediately but applications received by November 1, 2019 will receive full consideration.
Yale strongly welcomes applications from women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities. Yale is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
