I am interested in the development of experimental and analytical methods that can untangle complex interactions to reveal underlying patterns, especially as applied to correlated systems and emergent phenomena in condensed matter physics. Prior to beginning my career in physics, I lived in the Kansai region of Japan. |

I am interested in studies and applications of topological materials, most notably topologically protected quantum computing. I am also very interested in high energy physics and standard model expansions. I held a record (very briefly) for a round 50 speedrun on the Call of Duty Zombies map Moon. |

I’m interested in computational biophysics! My previous work has been on cytoskeleton mechanics, adapting an algorithm for biophysical models, and myosin polymerization. I enjoy staying active through hiking, gardening, and have gotten into bouldering! I also enjoy crafting activities and playing a good board game with friends! |

I am interested in computational techniques for gravitational wave astrophysics, cosmological simulations, and particle physics — particularly machine learning, quantum computing, and high performance computing. I am a fourth degree black belt in taekwondo and enjoy cooking and playing guitar. |

I’m interested in the experimental study of quantum materials, focusing on unconventional superconductivity and its interplay with other emergent electronic phases. Outside of physics, I have a deep interest in the history of science. During a year studying abroad in France, I explored the cultural and intellectual roots of quantum physics—how the ideas emerged, and the people behind them. A highlight was visiting the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, where I conducted archival research on the role of play, collaboration, and fun, and how these dynamics helped shape the development of quantum theory! |

I am interested in experimental particle physics across a range of topics such as QCD and the Quark-Gluon Plasma, neutrinos, and dark matter searches. I am particularly interested in detector physics as it relates to these ongoing projects. I once played trumpet at the Sydney Opera House! |

I’m excited to start research in nuclear experiment/heavy ions. My previous work has been in stellar intensity interferometry, measuring the angular sizes and (for the first time!) shapes of bright stars. I love being outdoors, gardening, and caring for my plants. I also run, bike, and do a little bit of rock climbing, and I love singing and watching live theater. |

I’m interested in using machine learning to accelerate physics simulation and discovery. On the other hand, I’m also exploring how to embed physics into machine learning models enhance them. I enjoy hiking, biking and spending time in nature. I’m actively looking for friends to hike and explore great food afterwards. |
