How networks of neurons perform computations

Biographical Sketch

Our lab is interested in understanding how networks of neurons work together to perform computations. We use the fruit fly’s visual system as a model neural circuit, in which we can use genetic tools to manipulate and monitor the activity of specific neurons. We use these manipulations to identify how individual neurons contribute to circuit computations.
