Biographical Sketch
Elise obtained per bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2018 and her PhD from Duke University in 2024. She has been interested in particle physics since 2017, when she participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) program through Duke University, where she spent part of the summer at CERN. She worked with Mark Kruse on the ATLAS Experiment during her PhD, where she focused on searches for new physics involving top-quarks. Her growing passion for particle physics has led her to Yale, where she hopes to continue learning and having fun in the process.
Research
Her research focuses on testing the Standard Model of particle physics, particularly the Higgs boson and how it interacts with tau leptons. She is also involved in the next upgrade of the ATLAS detector for the High-Luminosity LHC phase.
